The belief that spiritual people are somehow more human than human and free from experiencing fear, anger, jealously, sadness or guilt keeps us all from obtaining higher levels of enlightenment.
Able to see the bigger picture,
and yet laden by unexpressed fear; myopic.
Able to send love and prayers to the Earth and its inhabitants,
and yet fears being alone; abandoned; unseen; forgotten; overlooked; perpetually misunderstood.
Able to see the Earth as a whole as abundant,
and yet fears not being able to make ends meet.
Able to feel the pain of others; empathetic,
and yet seeks apathy to numb out.
Able to live and breathe in peace while meditating,
and yet holds hot coals in anger.
Able to heal emotions while atop the mountain,
and yet walks through the valley of the shadows of death.
Able to see the preciousness of life,
and yet shakes her fist in traffic.
Able to rise above on one hand,
and yet still gets stuck in the mud on the other.
Spiritual,
and yet still human.
Namaste.
