Living in the Fire: Pheonix Rising

Primal energy courses 

so strongly through my veins

Almost like a gang with chains

Calling forth my verses.



Fall to the side

In the heat of my need

To express;

No longer suppress

My needs for


Anything which

My soul desires.

The fire

The heat 

Rises up from my seat

Following the depths of 

my sacred column

with an ever increasing volume.

It fills me and presses

Me to rise with it

Or risk being scorched

by the magma of my yearning.

White hot,

The lava flows.

Some burns help me

To learn

A new way

Of being, living, thriving 

Alive within the fire.

Burning on,

Burning brightly,

Sometimes just
