A Tall Velma, Not a Daphne

Much time and energy

Spent fighting the truth

Of my body.

Even at peak physical

My body reflects

the inner geeky,

Yet curvy

Body of a

Tall Velma.

Reaching, wishing,

Even lightening

my Locks to red,

Desiring to be even

A small

reflection of

Daphne’s beauty.

My sexuality hidden beneath

The comfortable corded

Irish wool

Sweaters I so adore.

When being handed out

Looks, Velma was in

Line for books.

We chatted, unaware

Of what we were missing…

So to experience the depth

and breadth

Of my mysteries, one

Needs to see past the

The flesh.

This always brings

On a good measure

Of sadness;

To accept that Velma

Hides the Goddess.

Then laughter ensues,

Envy over a cartoon!

  1. Tiffany, you ARE a beautiful woman! 🙂 There is no hidden Goddess…you are visibly beautiful from the outside and felt on the inside.<3 I think you are working through this well…just make a double check that it isn't you that is hiding your Goddess from the world 🙂

    1. Dearest Michael, Such a catalyst you are for me with your comment spurring me into another aspect of this journey. Having already scheduled today’s posts, I am going to be posting what I’m learning from this strong feeling of not being beautiful. Thank you for your words! I’m doing my best to receive them. Thank you for dropping by and leaving a reply, changing my trajectory to something I have been avoiding. =)

      1. ❤️thank you! I love the naughty thoughts. Helps keep the cold weather from affecting me, Fiery Leo.
I’m starting a new process tomorrow. I’ll see how this feels in 22 days. Right now, it still makes me squirm to believe your complimentary words about my body. ❤️ Finally accepting the word Goddess!
        Resistance is a bitch.

      2. Hi Tiffany, sorry I haven’t been as active as I would like to be on your blog…the volume has just overwhelmed me and I had to surrender. 😉 I hope you are still getting good engagement from other followers though. If not, you might want to consider the tempo…two-three per week. I’ll keep checking in though 🙂

      3. I understand. The fire to create has been hard for me to stop. Realizing earlier today I’ve been running a marathon at a sprint pace. So I’m backing down to max 2/day…& doing best to keep them sweet and short. Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it.
