Revealing the Truth 3:4

Ripping – removing the flesh

must release the death

of the woman inside.

trapped in her own carcass

take her to the prespice

where rotten thoughts

and skin are shed.

the flesh now at her feet

leaves her replete.

before she was but

an empty shell

of a woman.

sometimes

growth can

look like

death.

  1. ‘Sometimes growth can look like death’ …wow. Those words resonate, Tiffany. It’s also easy for onlookers to assume the latter, when it could be further from the truth. It feels much like a chrysalis, I think.

  2. Beautiful! Yes Chrysalis. Love the reference to rotten thoughts, this is where most of my work takes place, shedding them like the skin and replacing them with His Truth! I don’t know if it was by design but I really like the way the last half of the poem tapers down, line by line to the single word “death”, Very Cool! 😎❤️ Barn
