Today marks the first day of National Poetry Writing Month and a great way to get back into one of my fave genres…. join me, would you, for a quick swim?
Insights idle inside while
Another long day draws to an end
It’s time to go for a swim, within
Reaching new heights, on updrafts
We climb, seeking higher perspectives
Unseen while trudging in daily woes.
Where the currents take us,
Nobody in a body really knows
Forgotten fears of heights,
We’re now unbound
Floating so high above the ground
Being ourselves, taking a swim
From within, is a flight of fancy
Where dreams swirl and new paths
For the future are created.
Yes, let’s remember to once
Again swim…
Wow how exciting I never knew there was a National Poetry Month (probably cause I live in Oz!)….. I love the idea of imagination as a pool of water or a stream within …<3

I will when I have some free time. That album was a constant through my childhood, should be able to carry me towards a poem or two. 🙂

Carl Jung suggests that our creative outlets can help us in healing from within. Poetry can be a fun way to move through our stuff. Hope you can find the time for you to heal through play. It doesn’t all have to be hard work ❤

So true. He healed through play as well with his Leo Sun. I was busy because I went out to have fun with a friend. So it was all good! 🙂
