there are times when
the emotional landscape
is suddenly all too cluttered
as if a snow globe were shaken
by a rambunctious toddler

to answer clear questions
or give any insights
can take a few moments
sometimes days or hours
depending on the topics
& how deeply it affects me

eventually the snow settles
and unlike the globe
it seemingly scatters
insight returns
until the next rattle

upon further reflection
it is past-time
to shatter the globe
for it implies being trapped

    1. thank you, Mark! Yes, it has definitely settled! it’s interesting b/c when “in the storm,” words often escape me. i doubt what i’d write in that space would be coherent at all… love & light to you!
