as the white-capped waters start crashing
racing toward the shoreline
just beneath the surface there is rolling
pulling particles back to the sea
i feel it
calling & pulling on my heartstrings
endlessly
beckoning me to follow
the seduction of the depths
well beyond the breakers
beyond even the buoys
marking channel entrances
shipping lanes
wake zones
and various hazards
beyond the rules
the rights of ways
beyond the regulations of navigation
you will find me there
where the roads are carved by a path
within any moment
based on weather conditions
& the predilections of my heart
today i choose
to be shown the way
to be lead away:
from the safety of what no longer fits
from what maybe never really worked nor served
things that kept me boxed in
you could even say compartmentalized
today i choose
to be shown the way
to be more fully alive this day
to do so, i must *trust*
that there is something greater & better
beyond the white-capped waves crashing
on the shore
golden, bejeweled bits & pieces that have been
awaiting
my discovery beneath the depths
of what i had once believed was … canon

today i am setting sail on a 40-day quest
to unveil what lurks below the surface of my depths
things which have been lying in wait
for me to discover leading to a life greater than the one
i’ve been living; may my gps be true,
perhaps more so … may my heart trust the process
i ask for you to bear witness when it suits you
comments or likes are encouraged
& welcomed if and when it calls to you do so
with some trepidation & excitement,
i push off from the safety of the shores
godspeed
for i will certainly be for-eva
changed when i get back
may no-thing be left undone …
